Why DIY carpet cleaning may not be good
Updated: Jun 19, 2019
Let's face it. We all try to tackle projects around the house. Should we tackle carpet cleaning ourselves, or leave it to the pros?
DIY carpet cleaning machines can be rented or bought. These machines are designed to be smaller in size and lightweight for portability. The DIY carpet cleaning solutions tend to be for general cleaning. They could also be mistakenly mixed incorrectly.
The smaller size vacuum motors in these machines are not nearly capable of removing the amount of water and solution that's applied to the carpet. This is why carpets are left wet for long periods of time. This is also why you may experience "dirty areas" a few weeks after you clean, which is a result of not properly extraction all the cleaning solution and soil. This is also why in some cases you may experience mold growth.
